Delete your HeartTap account
Last updated: May 3, 2026. Use this page to delete your HeartTap account and data associated with the account.
Delete in the app
- Open HeartTap.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE when asked to confirm.
- If HeartTap asks you to sign in again, sign out and sign back in with the same account, then repeat the delete action.
Email fallback
- Email support@moriatz.com from the email address used for your HeartTap account.
- Use the subject line "HeartTap account deletion request" and include your HeartTap account email. If you know your Firebase Auth user ID, include that too.
- Moriatz will verify the request and begin deletion. You may be asked for additional information only if needed to confirm the account.
Data deleted
- HeartTap account profile data linked to your Firebase Auth user ID.
- Pair records that connect your account to a partner, where deletion does not conflict with the other person's account or required service records.
- Ping content, ping metadata, saved or archived ping state, and related delivery records linked to your account.
- Notification preferences, device labels, app installation IDs, and Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens linked to your account.
- Support request data that is no longer needed after your deletion request is completed.
Data that may be retained
- Records that Moriatz must keep to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, protect the service, or maintain security.
- Limited backup copies until routine backup rotation removes them.
- Messages or pings visible in your partner's HeartTap experience until the deletion request can be processed without damaging their account records.
Processing time
Moriatz aims to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Some backup, security, abuse-prevention, or legal records may take longer to expire according to retention schedules.
Deletion is permanent
After deletion is complete, account and ping data cannot be restored. If you reinstall HeartTap later, you may need to create a new account and pair again.
